a quiet collusion
dressed up as fact,
paraded as truth.

about the way
you look or walk
or think or talk.
Prejudice shouts,
behind your back,
in your face,
inside your head.
Tyranny is dumb.
No need to speak
to the disregarded
and dispossessed.
Freedom is a cry
from the streets
by those who failed
to walk towards
the whisper.
